We purchase waste straw, wash it three times and turn it into a mulch before moulding the straw with a heat transfer into plates, clamshells and a number of other products. The total process is chemical free, no bleach, chlorine or petroleum.
Using so much water in the process creates a muddy straw waste water. We have a worm farm to one side of our factory that we transfer all of the waste water too. The worms are thriving and are sold every 28 days for fish food with the top layer of soil sold back to local farmers as fertiliser.
Our straw range is leading the world in sustainability.
